SYDNEY, NSW: Hisense has won the LCD TV award in the overall customer satisfaction category in a survey conducted by market researchers, Colmar Brunton, as part of a Canstar Blue initiative.

Customers who bought an LCD TV in the past two years also rated Hisense highly for value for money.

Six major brands were compared in the study, which asked over 2,500 consumers across key demographics to vote for their currently used brand of LCD, covering overall satisfaction, value for money and performance.

Sony, LG, Samsung and Panasonic all came in second for overall customer satisfaction, followed by Sharp.

The survey also revealed customers were “generally delighted with sound, picture and service”, according to a statement on the Canstar Blue website.

Registered concerns included signal quality, the arrival of new models or cheaper deals after purchase, warranty difficulties and power consumption.

In the Plasma TV category Panasonic was voted the best brand.

Canstar Blue is a recent initiative from financial research company, Canstar Cannex.
