MELBOURNE, VIC: Leading Chinese TV supplier Hisense has today announced it will be releasing its first range of 3D TVs by the end of 2010.

Hisense head of marketing Andre Iannuzzi has revealed to Current.com.au that his company, which specialises in bringing value-for-money product the Australian market, will be one of the first Tier 2 brands to release a 3D TV model in Australia.

"We are introducing 3DTV now confirmed for release in the fourth quarter of 2010,” Iannuzzi said. “The specific launch date is to be confirmed over the coming weeks.”

This new TV, which is set to be RRP $3,999, will be amongst the best featured on the market, with Iannuzzi revealing some of the major specifications.

"[This] 55-inch model…is a premium Full HD 200Hz LED LCD panel that will require active shutter glasses. Two active shutter glasses are to be provided with each unit."
