LG announces new marketing manager for home entertainment

SYDNEY, NSW: LG Electronics has today announced the appointment of its new marketing manager for home entertainment. Tim Barnes, who comes to LG Australia from Canada, is the new head of this key LG category.

According to the statement welcoming Barnes to the local team, his remit is to “continue to drive value for LG customers and provide a home entertainment experience better than competitors”.

Barnes said he was excited to accept this position.

“Home entertainment is an exciting and constantly evolving category and I’m excited to be working with LG Australia to develop breakthrough marketing programs,” Barnes said. “LG has introduced some impressive products in the home entertainment space and I’m eager to get involved and contribute some new and creative ideas to the Australian market.”

LG Electornics Australia MD William Cho said Barnes was a welcome addition.

“With extensive experience working with our Canadian counterparts, Tim is a great addition to the LG Australia team,” Cho said. “We’re anticipating a long-lasting period of success for the home entertainment division under Tim’s watch.”
