SYDNEY, NSW: Whirlpool today announced the appointment of a new senior brand manager for the refrigeration category.

Sonia Lancaster will be responsible for development across the category including product launches, communications, and internal and external training programmes.

The role is an elevated position from Lancaster’s predecessor, Natalie Nikolovski, who was the category manager for refrigeration.

The new marketing recruit comes from a five year tenure as global marketing manager at Mistral Group in Hong Kong. Previous to this, Lancaster’s experience includes brand and product management for Independent Distillers, Sensis and Goodyear tires.

Speaking about the appointment Sonia Lancaster said, “I am thrilled to be joining such a dynamic team with exciting prospects on the horizon, and I look forward to using my skill set to help sustain Whirlpool’s growth.”

Whirlpool general manager of marketing, David Graham, expressed his pleasure at the addition of Lancaster to the marketing team.

“Sonia has joined Whirlpool with a wealth of relevant experience both here and overseas,” said Graham.

Lancaster will be based at Whirlpool’s head office in Scoresby, Melbourne.
