NSW: Audio Connection’s Leichhardt showroom will continue to trade until Saturday 17 July, with customers set to enjoy exceptional deals in the wake of the store closure.

Its special sales items will be advertised on www.audioconnection.com.au.

In addition to offering its floor stock at heavily discounted prices, Audio Connection is also selling its fixtures and fittings, home theatre seating and framed movie posters.

Audio Connection Australia managing director Josef Riediger commented: “Whilst we are in the process of vacating our premises at Leichhardt we will continue to trade until Saturday 17 July.

Over the course of the next three weeks we will be preparing and packing our stock ready for the move to our showroom at 137 Victoria Rd, Drummoyne.”

“We would prefer to sell our stock at extremely competitive prices before we get packing.”

The store will have limited demonstration facilities in the next three weeks.

In its final weeks, Audio Connection’s Leichhardt store will open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm and Saturdays 10am to 5pm. The store is closed on Sundays.

Audio Connection managing director, Josef Riediger, told Current.com.au that while the store has certainly fallen victim to industry-wide falling sales, cheaper online retailers have been a particular problem.

When Current.com.au interviewed Riediger earlier this month he stated that bricks and mortar  retailers were being butchered by internet sales.

“Retail stores are becoming the showroom of internet sales,” he said.

Riediger said that he was sick and tired of customers spending time in the store to garner product knowledge from them, only to indicate that they would get a cheaper price online.

Audio Connection at Drummoyne continues to trade as usual.
