BRISBANE, QLD: Betta Electrical retailers are currently preparing for their annual conference, with the BSR Group heading to Shanghai next week to talk about its plans for the future.
According the BSR Group general manager, Shanghai was chosen for the 2010 conference due to its proximity to Expo 2010, which has been running since 1 May.
Brown told Current.com.au that this year’s delegation was the largest in BSR’s history, with 260 individuals from BSR and the various suppliers, set to converge on the Chinese port city.
“We’re heading off to our conference on 23 July in Shanghai,” Brown said. “The World Expo is part of the conference, that’s why we selected the venue.
“We’re taking all our delegates, including suppliers, to the World Expo while we’re in Shanghai
“We’ve got a record number of delegates attending that conference.”
Brown further said that whilst it was not an official part of the conference itinerary, some delegates would be making the short trek to Hangzhou, a Shanghai commuter city to the southwest, to visit Fisher & Paykel’s newly opened boutique showroom.
