SYDNEY, NSW: With the PMA Digital Life Expo ready for exposure this week, Sanyo has released a waterproof camera designed to be taken anywhere at any time.

The VPC-CA100 Xacti Dual Camera shoots Full HD (1920 x 1080) video and is also a 14-megapixel portable camera.

According to Sanyo, the slim VPC-CA100 can capture both video and still images simultaneously, with underwater recording capabilities up to a depth of 3-metres.

The camera has a 12x double range zoom for video and a 5x optical zoom for still images.

For those who want the world to see their holiday videos, the VPC-CA100 records in formats that are optimised for instant sharing on social networking sites like YouTube and Facebook, with Eye-Fi compatibility that enables automatic wireless upload of images and videos to a computer, said Sanyo.

A mini HDMI output also allows the camera to be plugged directly into a TV.

Available in pink, yellow and black, the VPC-CA100 Xacti Dual Camera will be available in July for RRP $549.

Today also saw the release of a new range of Sanyo LCD TVs, which the company said offer a unique time shift function allowing consumers to easily record television programs straight to a USB for later viewing.

The LCD24XR10F, LCD32XR10F, LCD40XR10F and LCD46XR10F feature an 8-gigabyte USB which can record approximately two hours of television while simultaneously enabling consumers to rewind live TV, said Sanyo.

Available in 24, 32, 40 and 46-inches, the new TVs all feature 1920 x1080 resolution and multiple HDMI inputs designed to increase connectivity.
