The Livescribe Pulse Smartpen has been one of the surprise hit gadgets in recent times. It has now been announced that even more retailers have decided to stock the product with Myer, JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Dick Smith, WoW Sight and Sound, Officeworks and Apple all getting on board.

The Livescribe Pulse Smartpen is a unique device that captures handwriting and simultaneously records audio, while synchronising it to the writing.

Remo Behdasht, director of international sales, Livescribe Inc, was excited to announce that the company has just signed on Myer, bolstering it retail presence.

“Livescribe entered the Australian market with Officeworks as its primary national retailer, at the end of 2008,” said Behdasht.

“We have spent the last 16 months building our retail footprint in the Australian market, with DickSmith, JB HiFi, Harvey Norman, WoW Sight and Sound, NextByte, and Apple stores now selling our products.”

Behdasht said that the company’s relationship with retailers is very important.

“We are fully committed to further strengthening the relationships our retail channel partners to expand the availability of Livescribe Pulse smartpens and accessories to consumers.”

The Pulse Smartpen is available in 2-gigabyte and 4-gigabyre capacities for RRP $259 and RRP $299, respectively. A variety of accessories are also available.
