SYDNEY, NSW: Samsung has this morning launched what the company calls the world’s most compact laser printer.

According to Samsung, the ML-1660 monochrome laser printer incorporating a number of easy to use ‘one-touch’ features into its design to better responds to the needs of personal, home office and small office users who want all the features of a laser printer, but with the smallest possible footprint.

The Samsung Print Screen button provides users with a quick and easy way to print exactly what they see on their PC screen at the touch of a button, said the company.

The new printer is also compatible with Samsung’s AnyWeb Print software, which is designed to allow users to select, drag and drop specific content from web pages into a new blank page on their screen, which they can then save or print, effectively saving time and paper.

Samsung believes that by incorporating a simple and visible Soft Power on/off button, users will be more inclined to turn the printer off when not using it, saving more power.

“With this new printer we have incorporated a wide range of easy-to-use features in a stylish and ultra compact device to make printing simple and convenient,” said Samsung Electronics’ national product and marketing manager – IT, Emmanuele Silanesu.

The ML-1660 is available now for RRP $139.
