Sony Australia has announced the availability of various new Internet Video channels. Along with SBS and Yahoo!7, football fans can access an exclusive FIFA World Cup channel.

According to Sony, the FIFA World Cup channel is exclusive to Sony and includes 20 FIFA World Cup Moments, FIFA World Cup Stories and anecdotes, FIFA World Cup films and football player profiles.

In addition, catch-up TV is also now available from SBS and Yahoo!7.

“The combination of catch-up TV for many of Australia’s favourite TV shows and the ability for sports lovers to enjoy exclusive World Cup moments on demand is just the beginning for Bravia Internet Video. More channels are in the pipeline and they will automatically be made available to all Bravia Internet Video devices from Sony,” said Paul Colley, technology communications manager, Sony Australia.

“Not only are there more and more channels on offer, but there are now 25 Bravia Internet Video-enabled devices for consumers to choose from.”

Sony has expanded its Bravia Internet Video range, with the launch of six IPTV-enabled Blu-ray players and Blu-ray home theatre systems. In terms of Blu-ray players, the BDP-S370 is currently out now for RRP $229. The BDP-S470 and BDP-S570 will be out in July for RRP $299 and $378 respectively.

The BDVE370, BDVE870 and BDVE970W Blu-ray home theatre systems will be out in June for RRP $599, $799 and $999 respectively.
