LG Electronics Australia has just announced the release of its Mini smartphone. The slim design is coupled with the strong functionality of a new web browser, GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities.

“The LG Mini is the next step in providing style-conscious consumers with an elegant and clever mobile phone,” said Brad Reed, senior category marketing manager, Mobile Communications, LG Australia.

“LG has a heritage in uniquely designed phones which stand out from the crowd. From the original LG Chocolate to the more recent LG Crystal, we’re constantly pushing the design boundaries and have continued this approach with the LG Mini – plus we’ve ensured that it is highly capable, feature rich and supports the latest online consumer trends.”

According to Reed, the Mini features LG’s new Phantom Browser for fast web surfing and support for Flash animation. It also incorporates a 3.2 inch scratch-resistant touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera and FM radio.

In addition, the Linkbook application allows consumer to integrate all of the social networking updates to the home screen automatically.

The LG Mini is available now through Vodafone, 3, Telechoice, Allphone and Crazy John’s stores.
