SYDNEY, NSW: Whirlpool is giving consumers the chance to win $1 million with its latest whitegoods promotion.

Every customer who purchases any Whirlpool product from participating retail outlets before 31 July 2010 can choose from a range of gifts by logging on to guesswhosemum.com.au. All gifts claimed online will automatically enter the draw to win $1 million.

A winner chosen at random must then choose the correct sock from 100 placed inside a Whirlpool washing machine to win $1 million. The 99 ‘unlucky’ socks will contain consolation prizes of $10,000.

“This is undeniably the largest and most exciting consumer promotion Whirlpool Australia has ever executed,” said Whirlpool’s general manager of marketing, David Graham.

This week will see the company begin a two week Austereo radio campaign in support of the promotion.

Bonus gifts are determined by the value of the Whirlpool appliance that is purchased, said the company.
