SYDNEY, NSW: Kodak has released a new tough-styled pocket-sized HD video camera targeted at adventurers.

Called the Kodak Playsport (RRP $249), this new black model is available from retailers including Ted’s and Harvey Norman.

“Today’s consumers want to easily capture and share life’s moments anywhere they happen without trading off quality,” said Kodak product manager, digital capture and devices, John Hatzimanolis.

"The Kodak Playsport Video Camera is designed with this in mind, combining the superior features of our HD digital video cameras with a rugged, waterproof exterior so consumers can capture their Kodak Moments in more places,  from the inside of a halfpipe on a snowboard or while duck diving on your surfboard.”

Key features include being waterproof down to 3 metres, Full HD 1080p video capture, 2-inch LCD colour display and an Li-ion rechargeable battery.
