The latest assignment on My Nikon Life is a call to action for all photographers to upload their favourite profile pics to the website. The online COOLPIX campaign kicked off on Monday and will continue through until the end of June 2010, offering 3 lucky winners a once in a lifetime opportunity to create their ultimate profile pic.

My Nikon Life is an online photography community that allows members to ‘go on assignment’ with Nikon. New and interesting assignment briefs are uploaded to the website each month, with fantastic prizes up for grabs for lucky My Nikon Life members.

Just about anyone and everyone has a profile pic of sorts these days, whether it is attached to their social media profile, or simply the log on of their computer, there is always a face to a name. The COOLPIX Profile Pic Comp encourages My Nikon Life members to upload 5 profile pictures that best represent their character, along with descriptions of each and a couple of lines outlining how they would spend their prize money to create their ‘ultimate profile pic experience’.

Video footage accompanies the competition outline, and was produced using the Nikon D3S. Young social media buff Joel and Aussie actress/new mum Holly Brisley star in a series of videos, playing around with the latest COOLPIX camera as they create their own inspiring profile pics.

The online COOLPIX campaign will be driven by Facebook and Twitter pages, linked to the intertactive My Nikon Life hub. For the chance to tell their own memorable profile pic story, entrants must follow a few easy steps to become members of My Nikon Life before uploading their photos.

3 lucky winners will win a $5000 prize package to help them capture the ultimate profile pic moment, including travel for up to 3 people within Australia, $1000 worth of Nikon product and up to $1000 spending money, along with a Nikon COOLPIX S8000 digital camera, valued at $499.00.
