SYDNEY, NSW: Axis Communications has released a series of outdoor-ready domes designed for large surveillance applications.

At the top end of the pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) range is the AXIS Q6034-E PTZ Dome, which features high-speed pan and tilt performance, as well as HDTV 720p.

Further down the range the AXIS P5534-E PTZ Dome also offers HDTV 720p, while the AXIS P5532-E PTZ Dome features D1 resolution (720 x 480/576 pixels).

All three cameras have automatic day and night functionality and provide H.264 video compression format, which Axis said optimises bandwidth and storage use without compromising image quality.

“Axis’ successful PTZ camera design now enables not only easy and reliable installation in demanding weather conditions, but also outstanding HDTV coverage of large areas and great detail when zooming in,” said ANZ country manager at Axis Communications, Wai King Wong.

“The new PTZ network cameras will offer customers greater choice of quality PTZ domes, with different performance and price levels to meet different installation needs.”

Powered through high power over Ethernet, the PTZ domes feature a built-in SD/SDHC memory card slot designed to allow to recordings be stored locally on all three cameras in the range.

The AXIS Q6034-E, AXIS P5534-E and AXIS P5532-E will be available to order in July 2010 through Axis’ Australian distributors Alloys International, Anixter Australia, Lan 1 and Pacific Communications.
