SYDNEY, NSW: Uniden has beefed up its wireless digital video surveillance range with the addition of two new systems.

The UWS 1113 system (RRP $329.95) features a 3.5-inch wireless video monitor, a portable wireless camera and a weatherproof wireless camera designed for outdoor use.

At the more advanced end of the range, Uniden said the UWS 1117 system ($399.95) is suitable for small businesses and larger properties and features a 7-inch wireless video monitor, a portable wireless camera and a weatherproof wireless camera.

Both cameras feature infrared night vision and a built in microphone.

According to the company, a rechargeable battery with up to four hours battery life is designed to help make the systems more mobile.

While both monitors include colour display and a choice of full screen view and auto scan, the 7-inch model adds quad view, which is designed to enable vision from four cameras to be viewed simultaneously.

Both systems are available now.

In addition, Uniden has announced that it will soon offer a free software upgrade designed to allow users to remotely check the surveillance monitor via an online connection.
