SYDNEY, NSW: Sony Australia will be giving away a whopping 45,000 PlayStation3 (PS3) between now and the end of the 2010 World Cup. The return of this phenomenally successful giveaway is one of four major promotions running in line with the World Cup.

Called the Get Your Game On! promotion, Sony Australia is giving away gifts with the purchase of products from its Bravia, Cyber-shot, Handycam and Vaio ranges.

Consumers who purchase a qualifying Bravia TV between now and 12 July 2010, the day after the World Cup Final, will receive a free PS3 (while stocks last, up to 45,000).

Consumers who purchase a selected Cyber-shot camera will receive one of 1,000 32-inch Full HD Bravia TVs.

For consumers who purchase any HD Handycam until 12 July 2010, Sony will give them free video editing software valued at RRP $219.

Finally, from 21 May 2010, any consumer who purchases a Sony Vaio Z Series notebook will also receive a free PS3.

“The anticipation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup is mounting and we’re excited to be building on the momentum with the release of a series of exclusive Sony offers for Australian consumers,” said Sony Australia strategic partnerships manager, Ruben Lawrence. “As an extension of our ‘Feel what they Feel’ campaign, these bonus offers will ensure electronics shoppers do not miss out on the FIFA World Cup action.”
