SYDNEY, NSW: Whilst retailers are busy selling their first shipments of 3D TVs today, supplier Samsung is preparing itself for a new national roadshow to train sales staff in how best to convey the advantages of the technology.

Throughout May and early June, Samsung’s training team will visit 14 locations across the nation. Key technologies to be communicated during this roadshow include 3D TV, IPTV, 3D Blu-ray and 3D glasses. In addition to showing off the new products, Samsung will also be providing guidance in how best to display 3D technology in store.

“Samsung is committed to visiting retailers across Australia, bringing our 3D technology to life in-person and educating them about the benefits of Samsung’s 3D offerings,” said Samsung head of marketing, consumer electronics, Mark Leathan.

“By the end of our national tour, we expect to have given over 2,000 retail salespeople the opportunity to experience both Full HD 3D and Internet@TV.”

The first event on this tour will be in Sydney on 3 May 2010. From there, Samsung will visit Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong, Cairns, Townsville, Darwin, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart and Canberra.
