SYDNEY, NSW: Hitachi Australia has today announced the appointment of its new managing director. Replacing the outgoing Yutaka Sugihara is Hitoshi Ishihara.
Ishihara has worked for Hitachi for over 30 years, with stints in the company’s head office in Japan, plus roles in Canada and throughout Hitachi’s other Asian offices.
“We are delighted to welcome Ishihara to the Australian arm of the Hitachi business and we know that his international experience will help sustain and grow our operations,” said Hitachi Australia HR manager Malcolm Braid. “The past five years have been hugely successful under Sugihara and we are looking forward to the next period under Ishihara’s leadership.”
