Sony Australia has introduced six new entry-level Cyber-shot digital cameras to its range. According to Sony, all models in the S and W series offer consumers highly advanced features for an affordable price.

Five of the six new models being launched are all from the popular Cyber-shot W series. The range includes the W310 (RRP $179), W320 (RRP $229), W350 (RRP $279), W370 (RRP $349) and W380 (RRP $379).

Four of the five models in the new line-up feature a 14.1-megapixel resolution, the W310 which is 12.1 megapixels.

The high-end Cyber-shot W series models have a variety of advanced features including Optical SteadyShot to prevent blurry photos, Smile Shutter for automatic detection of smiling faces and Intelligent Auto mode to determine the optimal photo settings for the user.

The W380, W370 and W350 also feature Sweep panorama, which lets you take a sweeping continuous shot of your surroundings. High definition video recording is also available on these units thanks to a 720p HD MPEG4 recording format. These latest addition W series models are also compatible with both Sony memory Stick and SD/SDHC memory cards.

The new Cyber-shot S2100 is the final new addition and is the most affordable option in the new line-up, at an RRP of $149. It features a 12.1-megapixel resolution and 3-inch LCD screen. In addition it also incorporates Optical SteadyShot, Intelligent Auto mode and Smile Shutter technology.
