SYDNEY, NSW: LG Electronics has today confirmed the departure of Stan Bilinski, the former senior marketing manager.

Bilinski leaves LG after 14 months with the Korean supplier. He told Current.com.au that he is now looking to pursue opportunities outside the electronics industry.

“The past 14 months working at LG have been tremendously enjoyable,” he said.  “It has been a great experience working with one of Australia’s most popular and fastest growing brands and I have had the privilege of being involved in some great campaigns and opportunities so I leave on a high note.

“My decision to leave my role as senior marketing manager at LG is a voluntary decision to pursue a number of personal opportunities outside the electronics industry.”

Bilinski was an integral figure in the LG brand’s 2009 repositioning as a premium appliance and electronics supplier.

He concluded by praising his former colleagues and wishing them well for the future.

“I wish everyone at LG the best of luck with all the exciting product launches coming up in 2010. It has been a pleasure working with a dedicated team across many exciting projects.”

Bilinski was appointed to LG
in January 2009. Prior to joining, he was a leading marketer in the pharmaceutical industry, having previously worked for Unilever, Pfizer, Pharmacia and Johnson & Johnson.

An announcement on Bilinski’s successor has not yet been made.
