To support an expansion of its services, Hybrid Television has announced a major restructure to its business. The company will no longer just be a licensee for TiVo but a Video on Demand and interactive service provider.

As a part of this restructuring process several key promotions have occurred throughout the business. Michael Glendinning, formerly the general manager of finance will now take on the role of chief operating officer; Brad Wilson, former general manager of content and services will become chief technology officer; and Tim Boys, former general manager of marketing will become the chief marketing officer.

Hybrid TV also announced that Peter Sharp has been recently appointed as chief sales officer. Before taking on this role, Sharp was business development manager with Derni Retail.

In his new role, Sharp will be responsible for maintaining and growing the company’s retail presence and will play a key role in developing additional opportunities to exploit the company’s CASPA platform across widget/internet-enabled televisions, multimedia interface devices and games consoles.

Robbee Minicola, CEO of Hybrid TV, commented on the new appointment.

“We are very fortunate to have someone of Peter’s calibre join our team – it is especially an honour to have a lead professional from within the Derni Retail business take up this pivotal role within Hybrid TV,” she said.

“Peter will continue to ensure that our dealings with Derni Retail and all our other retailers will remain top-of-mind as we move our relationship with these retailers from a purely HD-PVR reseller to an On-Demand content and service proposition across a number of devices in their stores via CASPA.”
