Remington was recently awarded the GfK No. 1 Brand Award for 2009 in the Hair Care category, a title it has received every year since 2004. The supplier was also presented with the first separate award for Men’s Grooming.
The prestigious award is based on unit sales for the January to December 2009 reporting period. To receive the award the brand must be a clear winner in the category in unit sales.
Karen Markby, senior product manager, hair care and women’s hair removal, was thrilled that Remington has continued to lead the market.
“Remington has achieved the No. 1 award for Hair Care every year since 2004. 2009 is the first year that the award has been presented for a separate Men’s Grooming category,” she said.
Markby said that it was the dedicated work of its staff the helped deliver this strong result.
“These awards are a reflection of the Remington team’s work to constantly provide new and innovative products to our consumers and the team would like to thank them for their support,” she said.
Markby emphasised that Remington will continue to offer its customers a compelling purchase proposition in the future.
