Quickflix Limited, Australia’s leading online DVD rental and movie subscription company, has just announced the appointment of its new chief marketing officer.

According to the release issued to the Australian Securities and Investment Commission, Hannah Schwartz has joined the Quickflix team as chief marketing officer.

Stephen Langsford, executive chairman at Quickflix commented on the new appointment.

“Hannah’s experience includes key roles in New York and with local category leading internet brands such as RealEstate.com.au and RSVP.com.au, making her ideally suited to the Quickflix CMO role,” he said.

“Critically, Hannah brings more than 20 years’ leadership experience to Quickflix in developing customer acquisition strategies for emerging and rapidly growing industries.”

Schwartz was very enthusiastic about her new role and the future of the company.

“I am delighted to be leading the marketing effort of a leading online entertainment brand in the making. The home entertainment industry is going through enormous changes and demand for Quickflix is growing,” she said.

“I am looking forward to applying my experience of working with other major internet brands to the next phase of Quickflix’s growth.”

This announcement follows on from previous appointments at the company with Michael Snow coming on as head of content in Sydney and Dr Tim Parsons joining the team as head of product development and technology.
