LAS VEGAS: The new flagship television from Samsung could be upstaged by its remote control which is itself a television and has the ability to stream the same content as the television or independently show a different channel for bored viewers.

The Samsung Touch Remote Control has been launched in conjunction with the top of the line C9000 LED LCD television and is Wi-Fi enabled with DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) which provides access to photos, music or videos either independently of the television or they can be streamed to the television from the remote.

The Twin View delivers the remote the same content that is currently streaming on the television if the viewer wants to leave the room temporarily.

If the content on the screen is not to their liking, the remote can play content independently of the television.

The Touch Remote is not exclusive to the new C9000 television, as it will be available as an accessory for selected Samsung LED LCD televisions.
