LAS VEGAS, USA: Samsung today announced it will launch the world’s first application and widget store for multiple devices, providing a single destination to browse, buy and manage ‘apps’ for consumers who own Samsung mobile phones, televisions and Blu-ray players in the Australian market.

Already launched in England, France and Italy, the store will expand to 50 countries worldwide in 2010, including Australia.

Content partners include Twitter, YouTube, Associated Press, Blockbuster, Fashion TV, Netflix, Picasa, Pandora, Travel Channel and Vudu.

The service will offer an open platform for developers and Samsung will offer a software development kit to assist with the development of new applications.
