LG Electronics Australia has just confirmed that its new GD910 Watch Phone will finally hit stores this week. LG has warned that there will only be a limited number for sale, so consumers will have to act fast to secure one for Christmas.

The LG GD910 Watch Phone is the first 3G touch watch phone in Australia and will be only available through selected Optus ‘yes’ shop in Sydney and Tesltra’s T-Life stores in Sydney and Melbourne.

“The LG Watch Phone is everybody’s ultimate Christmas gift, bringing our childhood dreams of being an undercover agent to life,” said Nathan Dunn, general manager, mobile communications, LG Electronics Australia.

“LG is committed to developing new, innovative products that push boundaries and set new trends in telecommunications. We are very excited to be releasing the Watch Phone in Australia through our carrier partners.”

The Watch Phone features a full 1.43” touchscreen interface, 3G capability, video calling, flash interface, Bluetooth, Text to Speech and a built in speaker. It is also the first touch watch phone in the world to come with 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA compatibility for high speed data transmission.

The LG GD910 will be available this week for RRP $2,299 at the following locations:

Optus ‘yes’ shop – 280 George Street, Sydney
T-Life Sydney – 400 George Street, Sydney
T-Life Melbourne – 246-260 Bourke Street, Melbourne
