SYDNEY, NSW: Sunbeam has thrown its angel to the top of the Christmas promotions tree, announcing details of its Yuletide marketing campaign. In a happy collaboration of the popular themes, Sunbeam is offering cashbacks, gifts with purchase and a major consumer prize over advent, all supported by a television advertising campaign.
Cashbacks are very much the new black this Christmas, and like its small appliance competitors/takeover targets, Sunbeam is offering cashback of up to $100 on 27 products in its small appliance range.
An historically popular range at Christmas is Sunbeam’s Cool Creations novelty range. Consumers who purchase any product from this range before 24 December 2009 will receive an Ice Age DVD pack, containing the first and second instalments of the film series.
A more considerable gift with purchase promotion is being conducted in Sunbeam’s coffee range, with consumers of the Cafe Series Espresso Machine EM6910 receiving a free coffee grinder valued at RRP $219.
A third gift with purchase is a free case of Otama wines with every purchase of the Sunbeam Innovo Gas barbeque (GB2100).
In addition to this micro promotion, Sunbeam is giving every consumer who purchases one of its appliances the chance to win a $58,000 holiday to a luxury island. This promotion is currently running, and closes on 24 December 2009.
“Sunbeam is the only small appliance supplier that’s providing such comprehensive support to retailers this Christmas,” said Sunbeam CEO David Jackson.
“We’ve experienced strong growth in sales from this time last year and we are willing to back stronger consumer confidence levels with our marketing dollar.”
