SYDNEY: Panasonic has announced a free movie rental promotion to support its range of Blu-ray home theatre systems. Consumers who purchase one of three selected models will receive one year’s worth of free rentals of Blu-ray Discs and DVDs.

The promotion will run from tomorrow, Saturday 17 October 2009 until 1 February 2010 2010, giving retailers plenty of scope to promote this offer to their consumers. The deal is this: buy one of three Panasonic Blu-ray home theatre systems (the details are listed below) and you will receive 12 months of Quickflix Online Blu-ray and DVD movie rentals, valued at RRP $239.40.

Talking about this offer is Panasonic Hi-Fi and Audio product manager, Ian North.

“We are delighted to offer customers this exciting promotion just in time for the holiday season, so families can enjoy their favourite movies on Blu-ray or DVD with a fully-featured Home Theatre solution,” North said.

“Panasonic’s expanded Blu-ray Home Theatre range offers consumers the ultimate home cinema experience with Full High Definition 1080p Blu-ray, as well as a gateway to the Internet in your loungeroom plus convenient connectivity with your other digital devices.”

North further reported that Panasonic will be supporting this promotion with a “strong marketing campaign”, including national radio ads, in-store promotions and point-of-sale material.
