Miele Australia has announced that next month will mark the 25 Anniversary of two of its employees. To celebrate, the company is sending them to Germany in honour of the milestone.

Cliff Thompson, general manager of marketing and Benjamin Barker, service technician team leader Victoria, both joined Miele Australia in 1984, only four years after the company was established as Miele’s first sales subsidiary outside Europe.

In honour of their 25 years of service, Miele Australia is sending them both to Gutersloh, Germany, where they will join other long-serving employees from around the world.

According to Miele, the anniversary function will include a meeting with Dr Miele and the board management, celebratory dinner and a guided tour of the Miele museum and factory facilities.

Some of the other Miele employees who have already celebrated their 25th anniversary with the company include Mike lister, product marketing manager – Miele Professional, Hugh McDonald, national service training manager, and Rudi Niemoeller, product marketing manager – Domestic Appliances.

215 Miele employees are expected to attend the event from around the world to celebrate their 25th, 40th and 50th years of service for the company.

A total of 8,420 employees have been recognised for their 25 years with the company, 1,523 have celebrated 40 years and 52 employees have worked for the company for over half a century.
