SYDNEY, NSW: Miele Australia is offering customers a bonus Miele Active HEPA filter, by redemption, when purchasing select models in Miele’s S5 range of vacuum cleaners.
During the two month period, 1 August to 30 September 2009, the bonus Miele Active HEPA filter, valued at $39.50, can be claimed by redemption upon purchase of either the Miele S 5211 ‘Family Care-Taker’ (RRP $429) or S 5311+SBB ‘Hard Floor Specialist’ models (RRP $529).
“Our recent May-June Active HEPA redemption campaign was very well received by both our retailers and their customers with a significant spike in the demand for both models featured during the promotion,” said Miele Australia product manager – Floor Care Products, Kris Ronsmans.
“We at Miele believe this was due, in part, to the straight-forward process of the campaign with the redemption and the receipt of the bonus Active HEPA filter.
“However, most importantly, the Miele Active HEPA filter promotion ties directly into one of Miele’s core philosophies: The hygiene factor of Miele floor care characterised by its air-tight design of the vacuum cleaner barrel, combined with our latest high performance HyClean dust bag technology, and topped off with the bonus Active HEPA filter offers superior filtration.
“This factor contributes to Miele’s other core philosophy highlighted in this promotion being our commitment to remaining the premium brand of choice within the Australian floorcare market,” said Ronsmans.
Miele claims that its Active HEPA filter, which gains a HEPA 12 certification for the entire vacuum cleaner, actually filters out 99.5% of all dust, allergens and other particles to a microscopic size of 0.3 microns — the diameter of a human hair is between 50 to 100 microns.
The filter also has a layer of active charcoal to absorb odours and to ensure that the air which exits from the vacuum cleaner during cleaning is purified.
Miele claims it was the first vacuum cleaner manufacturer to be awarded HEPA 12 certification for ‘in situ’ filtration (meaning certification for the entire unit, not just the filter) offering a guaranteed dust-tight design.
The said that it has received accolades from industry-leading health and testing organisations such as the German Asthma and Allergy Foundation (DAAB) and dust and particle testing organisation, DMT GmbH & Co. KG.
