BERLIN, GERMANY & SYDNEY, NSW: LG Electronics has been awarded four gongs at the 2009 European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) Awards. LG took won acclaim in four categories: European Best Value LCD TV 2009-2010 for the SL80, European Best Value Blu-Ray Player 2009-2010 for the BD390 and European Green Mobile Phone 2009-2010 for the LG Arena. The fourth award was for a home theatre system not currently available in Australia.

Discussing his joy at receiving this recognition is the CEO of LG’s home entertainment company, Simon Kang.

“Winning these awards confirms LG’s leadership in the European market and our ability to create products that meet the needs of consumers’ through a blend of smart technology and stylish design,” he said. “We are honored to receive these prestigious awards from EISA and will continue to create products fit for European consumers’ tastes.”

 Also happy about this achievement is LG Australia marketing director, David Brand.

 “Awards indicate the recognition of LG as a premium Electronics brand in the European market that produces innovative products at an affordable price. LG Australia will strive to continue providing products that compliment Australian consumer’s lifestyles,” he said.

 According to LG, EISA is the largest editorial multimedia association in Europe, with a membership of 50 special interest magazines from 19 European countries. In June of each year, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member magazines meet to decide which of the products analysed in their publications during the past year deserve the coveted EISA Awards.
