Uniden is keen to take its involvement in the telecommunications sector one step further with the introduction of a Bluetooth Hands-free Car Kit to add to its strong range of cordless phones, car navigation systems and radios.

According to Uniden the device is perfect for iPhone’s, Blackberry’s and Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. It features text to speech caller ID number announce, voice dialling and up to 15 hours talk time from a single charge.

Brad hales, senior national marketing executive at Uniden, commented on the new product offering.

“Australian’s love affair with mobile communications continues unabated and the tyranny of distance means we all tend to spend a lot of time in our cars,” he said.

‘Given Uniden’s enduring leadership in the cordless phones category and the growing popularity of our TRAX GPS car navigation systems, the development of a Bluetooth hands-free car kit was an obvious next step. It’s just another way that we are helping people stay connected.”

The BTSC 1500 also utilises the latest noise and echo cancellation technology for enhanced call clarity, a full duplex speaker phone and Bluetooth 2.1 for faster transmission speeds and lower power consumption.

The BTSC Bluetooth Car Kit will be available from leading electrical retailers and department stores from August for a RRP of $119.95.
