SYDNEY, NSW: Winning Appliances in Redfern was the setting this morning as Sampford IXL launched its latest range of Neff cooking appliances.

Neff, which is a German brand founded in 1877, has only been in the Australian market for 10 years. Over in its native Europe, however, it is a market leader, with strong sales in the United Kingdom, France and Greece. The brand’s motto is “writing kitchen history”, which seeks to emphasise the company’s innovative features and design.

The hero product of the new release is a stainless steel single oven with a Slide & Hide door (B46W74N0GB, RRP $3,999). As demonstrated by national training manager Matthew Ahearn at the presentation, when the door is opened, it automatically slides down and into a sleeve beneath the oven cavity. It’s a very smooth transition, with no force or pressure required to either hide the door or retrieve it. With the door concealed, users can then access the full cavity without having to lean forward.

Other new products launched today include a pyrolytic oven, induction cooktops, a steam oven, a microwave and a fully automatic coffee centre.

“At Sampford IXL we really take our cooking products very seriously,” said Owens. “We’re all really passionate about the Neff brand – we love the brand and the style of the products and the features. Neff has spent a lot of time – it’s over 125 years old – building a whole brand based on quality of products, both in style and performance.”
