Quickflix, Australia’s leading online movie rental company has just announced a new consumer promotion where it is giving away free subscriptions to Harvey Norman customers.

The promotion with Harvey Norman was revealed in Quickflix’s latest release to the ASX, where it mentions the successful completion of a $2 million capital raising and strong growth in its subscriber base.

According to Quickflix, the company is launching a new campaign this month with Harvey Norman in which a Quickflix subscription offer will be bundled with sales of DVD and Blu-ray players throughout its network of 190 stores.

In addition to this the company also revealed that it will shortly announce the launch of another new campaign with a major FMCG brand utilising social networking media.

“These new campaigns add to ongoing promotional activity across a range of channel partners including Virgin Mobile, Big W and iiNet which is driving new subscriber uptake,” said the company in a statement.

In the six months to June this year, Quickflix achieved 17 per cent growth in paying subscribers and is targeting to improve on this growth rate in the current six month period.
