Jamie Oliver promotion to inspire sales for Tefal over Father’s Day

Due to its strong performance in the fryer category, Groupe SEB has decided to run a promotion over Father’s Day, where anyone who buys a Tefal ActiFry will get a special gift from Jamie Oliver.

According to Groupe SEB, the Tefal Actifry has been one of the key drivers to its success in the fryer category. Overall the category is now up 22 per cent in value to be just over $17 million.

In order to maintain this growth and further stimulate sales, the company is kicking off a Father’s Day promotion in conjunction with the Jamie Oliver Professional Series range of cookware.

Everyone who purchases an ActiFry from August to September will receive a bonus Jamie Oliver Professional Series Sharks Tooth Grill valued at $179.

“We wanted to have an exciting offer in place that will drive additional sales over this period,” said marketing manager Filiz Bensan.

“The Jamie Oliver Sharks Tooth Grill is one of the best selling pieces in the range and it makes it an ideal complement to the ActiFry.”

One of the main selling points of the Actifry is the fact that it offers consumers a much healthier option to traditional deep fryers, due to the fact that it uses a unique patented technology that cooks with almost no oil or fat.

Some of the other impressive features include a transparent lid for more control over cooking, ‘set and forget’ cooking, removable non-stick bowl, 60 minute timer and also comes with a recipe book and measuring spoon.
