Panasonic has announced the launch of a new advertising campaign that is designed to highlight the benefits of SD Card technology and AVCHD video capture, with the message of ‘Shoot, Share and Store’.

According to Panasonic, the SD and SDHC memory card format has seen continued growth over recent years and now accounts for 75 per cent of the total memory market in Australia. The company expects the category to continue growing by approximately 10 per cent over the next 12 months.

Paul Reid, director, consumer electronics at Panasonic was very enthusiastic about the new campaign.

‘’We expect the campaign will further solidify SD card technology in the minds of Australian consumers as the most user-friendly solution. Supported by Panasonic’s AV product range, it allows convenient capture, viewing and storage of precious memories so that users can experience a truly High Definition lifestyle,” he said.

The ‘Shoot, Share and Store’ campaign is designed to communicate the ease of using Panasonic’s SD Card Link technologies, with SD Card slots now in the company’s range of LUMIX cameras and camcorders and across the latest range of VIERA TVs and Blu-ray recorders.

The campaign follows a family visiting an electronics store to buy a big screen TV. When they are in the store the assistant inserts an SD card from their LUMIX TZ7 into a VIERA Plasma TV so they can watch their home movies on the big screen, but are mortified when the footage of the birth of their child comes up on screen for everyone to see.

The TVC campaign will air nationally from 25 July 2009.
