The winners of the PICA (Photo Information Council of Australia) Dealer of the Year and Gold Tripod awards will be announced at the PMA Imaging Technology Conference on June 25.
The awards announcement and presentation, part of the PMA Australia 2009 Imaging Technology Show at Sydney’s Darling Harbour from June 26 to 28 June, will be open to all in the industry to attend and will be hosted by PICA president, Dave Marshall.
The Dealer of the Year Award covers window displays to store lay out. Staff training skills are also assessed, along with good credit records and management of visits from supplier representatives.
The Gold Tripod Award, which is not presented every year, recognises an outstanding contributor to the photo industry in Australia. Past recipients have come from retailing, professional photography, entertainment and association management.
Marshall said in addition to recognising key industry achievers, the PICA awards help stimulate interest and participation in the local industry.
