SYDNEY: At the Harvey Norman expo today, Hisense Australia announced that it is preparing to enter the hotly contested small appliances market, with the company’s first range for the Australian market still to be decided.

“We are yet to finalise the products, but Hisense Australia is in a great position to complement our existing flat panel, refrigeration and laundry products with a range of small appliances,” said Hisense Australia General Manager, Tania Garonzi.

The biggest challenge for Hisense will be deciding which products to choose for the Australian market.

“It’s huge, there are hundreds of Hisense small appliances we can choose from,” said Garonzi. “We are going to have meetings with our retailers to discuss the possibilities and help us decide the range.”

The company’s first small appliances in Australia are not expected to be available until later in the second half this year.
