SYDNEY: With 60 per cent of the LCD TV market now represented by Full HD models, Sony Australia has introduced two new entry level series to its Bravia LCD TV range – the W5500 and V5500 – making its entire Bravia line up full high definition.

“Australians are embracing Full High Definition at a faster rate than ever, with 60 per cent of LCD TV sales now in Full HD resolution,” said Sony Australia product manager – visual display, Jan Ergen.

“Sony is responding to this demand by delivering its entire line-up of Bravia LCD TVs for the living room – including these two new entry-level models – with Full HD resolution. With the increase in Full HD content available today, including broadcast and Blu-ray movie content, even the more cautious technology adopter can take advantage of this enhanced picture quality.”

The Bravia W5500 series features Motionflow 100Hz technology, which doubles the number of frames displayed per second, compared to earlier 50 Hz models, greatly improving the clarity of fast-moving objects and panning scenes.

The range includes
