A day after receiving news that LG had been nominated for seven ERA Awards, sales director Graeme Cunningham has spoken of his excitement and pride at such an achievement.

“We are delighted to be nominated for seven awards in the 2009 Electrical Retailing Awards,” said Cunningham. “This is on top of the three GfK No 1 Awards we have already achieved for our Home Theatre Systems, DVD Players and Microwave Ovens.

“To receive such highly acclaimed recognition across so many of LG’s categories is testament to the stylish, premium and lifestyle smart appliances we produce.”

Asked what it means to receive such important recognition, Cunningham said it vindicates his strategies in promoting LG to the industry and consumers.

“To be nominated for so many Electrical Retailing Awards signifies LG is continuing to stand out as the brand of choice and one that consumers and retailers alike will continue to turn to, as leaders in the industry.”

Although LG shares the most nominations this year, with Panasonic, the Korean brand know that a nomination doesn’t necessarily lead to win. Last year, LG failed to win an ERA Award despite being nominated in eight categories. This year, LG will be looking to step up, and start converting these nominations into victories.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Sofitel Wentworth, in Sydney, on Friday 17 April 2009. For more information on the event, please send me an email.
