In response to the growing demand for digital television, TiVo has just announced that they are expanding their distribution and selling their media device through The Good Guys retailers around Australia.
Before this announcement TiVo has only been available in Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith Electronics and David Jones stores, with The Good Guys now joining the list it seems TiVo are keen to grow.
Robbee Minicola from Hybrid Television Services has commented on the announcement and how expanding their presence in retail is the right decision.
“In the quest to get Australians to switch to digital television we believe that growing our retail footprint to include The Good Guys makes good sense,” she said.
She also emphasised the fact that TiVo’s success will come on the back of its long lasting appeal.
“Australians will only purchase technology if they can be assured it will not go out of date – their TiVo will instantly convert them from analogue to digital…and automatically update to provide them with new content and services over time,” said Minnicola.
The Good Guys will be selling TiVo in late March for RRP $699.
