WOW Sight and Sound is currently planning on opening its first store in Canberra and in the process will offer locals numerous employment opportunities.

The Queensland based retailer is introducing 50 new jobs in Canberra and are currently taking expressions of interest from exciting and enthusiastic individuals.

Con Nicholas, director of retail at WOW Sight and Sound, expressed a lot of enthusiasm towards the opening of the new store in Canberra and the fact that local talent will be used to serve customers.

“WOW is a significant employer wherever we open and we’re looking forward to jumping in and giving Canberra the jobs Prime Minister Rudd is trying to create across the country,” he said.

Nicholas emphasised the fact that WOW offers employees an exciting place to work, whilst offering the latest in new technology and consumer electronics.

“The difference between us and the competition is our product range. Its huge with 20,000 product lines and anyone with an interest in working with the latest in electronic technology will find a challenge working with us,” Nicholas said.

Nicholas also expressed that the jobs on offer at WOW offer a great working environment, regular training, solid wages and sales performance incentives.

“We’re looking for specialists who know home theatre equipment, car audio, communications and computers, as well as store and warehouse distribution managers and retail customer service representatives,” he said.
