LG Electronics has been awarded three GfK Number One Awards, for achieving outstanding sales over 2008 and is now the leader in Home Theatre Systems, DVD Players, and Microwave Oven categories.
Stan Bilinski, senior category manager, LG Electronics was extremely happy with the result and commented “to be awarded No. 1 in three separate categories by GfK is a great achievement for LG and we are pleased to receive such highly acclaimed recognition in both the Audio Visual and Cooking categories”.
Bilinski also commented that 2009 looks very promising for LG and these two categories are set for a big year ahead.
“We are due to launch new products throughout the year in both categories that will continue to show LG’s commitment to leadership and innovation.”
The GfK Number One Awards are distributed annually to the number one brand in a variety of categories across the Asia Pacific region. The award is based on units sold for the 12 month period from January to December 2008.
