SYDNEY: LG Electronics Australia is sponsoring this year’s Good Food and Wine Show to promote its range of cooking products including cooktops and ovens, which the company plans to re-launch and expand in 2009.
The Good Food & Wine Show is Australia’s largest consumer food and wine show and in 2009 the exhibition will visit Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. Last year’s shows attracted over 120,000 visitors.
LG announced it will be sponsoring the LG Celebrity Theatre which will be headlined by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, in Melbourne and Sydney. Ramsay, as well as several Australian celebrity chefs, will be giving cookery demonstrations using LG products.
In addition to the LG Celebrity Theatre, there will also be an LG VIP lounge that will feature LG products, events and demonstrations.
LG plans. The company will also be showing its range of refrigerators and wine cellars. As an incentive to LG customers, the company is writing to all registered web newsletter customers and offering them a $5 discount on the price of their admission ticket

LG is also continuing its sponsorship of Australian cooking show, Ready Steady Cook, which is being screened again on Network Ten in 2009.
