The air conditioning and refrigeration business at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Australia will be restructured in the new year, with the company planning on a greater focus on the local retail markets.
From 1 January 2009, the new organisation handling these operations will be Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Conditioners Australia Pty Ltd, or MHIAA. All other operations for all other products will remain under the control of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Australia.
“The main points for the change are increased operating capital, stronger commitment to Oceania market [and] continued growth in retail and commercial markets,” said Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Australia marketing manager Graham Hamilton.
The managing director of MHIAA will be Masayuki Fujinami. The head office of this organisation, currently based in Rockdale, New South Wales, is set to be relocated. News on the new site will be reported as it becomes known.
