Canon Australia has announced a new Corporate Strategy Division that will oversee its Corporate Communications, Digital Strategy, Quality, Safety & Environment, and Business Excellence functions.

David Klineberg will head this group as general manager, corporate strategy. Klineberg has worked for five years at Canon, heading up the Business Excellence team. Before that, he worked as a general manager of operations at Telstra.

“By creating an umbrella group that integrates four key contributors to the Canon Corporate brand we will ensure that the teams are well aligned to lead Canon’s strategic program and drive the achievement of our business goals” said Klineberg. “While the role will be challenging, I look forward to enhancing Canon Australia’s brand and profile in the corporate sector.”

Klineberg will continue to lead Business Excellence, including Canon’s project office and process management practice. He will also join Canon’s Executive Leadership team.

Kylie Church will move into the position of corporate communications manager, having worked in the team for four years. Kylie’s core focus will be Canon Australia’s corporate public relations, corporate branding, corporate events and internal communications.

Michael Vinter has joined the Canon family, having been appointed assistant general manager, digital strategy. Vinter will lead Canon’s advancement in the online world and will be responsible for the development and implementation of Canon’s web capability across Oceania.
