Gold medal for man who shot Sunbeam

Sunbeam are today having celebratory cappuccinos after the small appliance specialist’s television commercials won a Gold Award at the 2008 NSW & ACT Awards for Cinematography.

The five featured advertisements, which won in the Commercials National category, were shot by Borce Damcevski, and feature the Café Series espresso machine, food processor, blender, juicer and toaster.

Talking about this recognition is Sunbeam marketing manager – kitchen appliances, Steve Reid.

“We’re incredibly proud that the Sunbeam TVC has been chosen over a field of global
brands including Gatorade, Nurofen and E-bay,” said Reid. “Thanks to the magic of Australian Academy Award winner Jim Frazier and his newly invented Frazier GBO Infinity lenses, we were able to achieve extreme close-ups to highlight the performance of our Café Series® products.

“The feedback we’ve had about the ads has been overwhelming and we’re looking
forward to bringing the campaign back to screens in 2009.”
