SYDNEY: Black and Stone is the newest name in small appliances in Australia. The new brand is set to launch its first range of products in November.

“We are very excited to establish Black and Stone in Australia and to be launching our first range of products in time for summer,” said Graham Brake managing director, Black and Stone.

“After two years of hard work the company’s goal of producing stylish, high quality products at affordable prices has been realised,” said Graham Brake managing director, Black and Stone.

Not only focussing their attention on the Australian market, Black and Stone New Zealand and Black and Stone UK were both incorporated earlier this year with the goal of commencing trading in the New Year, according to the company.

“We have an ambitious target of launching two new product categories a year for the next three years. With the senior management and design team each having a minimum 15 years commercial experience both here in Australia as well as in markets around the globe — we believe with continued hard work, this goal is achievable,” Brake said.

Black and Stone’s first product in Australia is the Electric Convection Barbecue. Initially two models will be launched into the Australian and New Zealand markets with additional models due for release early next year. Featuring a gloss black model (RRP $499) and a stainless steel version (RRP $599) that has an integrated 30 minute auto shut-off timer, both models feature a table top design.

“Electric barbecues are becoming more popular due to their ease of use, space saving capabilities and reduced carbon footprint” said Brake.

“In developing our new range, we spent a lot of time researching the market here and overseas and discovered there is a growing demand for high performance electric barbecues where usability, cooking quality and taste count,” he said.

The Black and Stone Electric Convection Barbecue also features a removable grease tray, heat insulating convection roasting hood, twin cooking elements and stainless steel plate and grill cooking surfaces. A built-in thermometer helps to ensure even cooking.

Also being released this season is the Black and Stone Gas Safety Gauge (RRP $34.95) with a glow in the dark face that screws directly into the gas cylinder and automatically shuts off the gas if it detects gas leaks. It also shows the amount of gas remaining in the cylinder.
