SYDNEY: Former managing director of Electrolux Home Products ANZ, Trevor Carroll, has been appointed to the board of the award-winning The Good Guys retail business.
Andrew Muir, chairman of The Good Guys stated today that his company is “extremely fortunate to have a person with the skills and experience of Trevor Carroll to assist in shaping the strategic direction and governance of the group during a time of industry consolidation”.
Muir added that Carroll’s “knowledge and success in distribution, brand marketing and international product sourcing will add significant value to the group”.
In March this year, Carroll retired from Electrolux Home Products ANZ, where he had held the role of managing director for seven years.
Carroll was replaced as managing director of Electrolux Home Products ANZ by John Brown, who was promoted from the position of director of product marketing.
From March to August 2008 Carroll was based in China acting as a consultant to Electrolux China Home Appliances. Carroll is also a director of Crane Group Limited, a manufacturer of non-ferrous metal products, plastic pipeline systems and plumbing supplies, and is also national president of the Australian Industry Group.
The Good Guys won the Retail Group of the Year award at the 2008 Electrical Retailing Awards (ERAs) in April this year. The Good Guys store at Castle Hill also won the Best Retail Store in NSW/ACT award at the ERAs.
